The Fruitcake Experiment


Collin Street Bakery Fruitcake

Since I find it incredulous that no one in this great big world is capable of mixing fruit, nuts, cake, and bourbon–four of my favorite ingredients–into a tasty concoction, I am going on a quest to try to find the best fruitcake until my tastebuds, waist, or wallet give out.

The first fruitcake on the list is from a place not far from DFW: Collin Street Bakery in Corsicanna, TX. It was tasty, but it didn’t blow me away and isn’t something that I would crave during the holidays every year.
